Well another year has gone by, just like that! I am actually a huge fan of birthdays. Even though they usually never live up to my expectations (they are REALLY high lol), I still think it’s fun to feel special one day a year. So in my 34 years of life, here are some random things I have learned:
- I can’t do life without Jesus
- Laugh as much as you can
- Laugh at yourself.
- Choose your battles, in marriage and parenthood
- Life gets better with age
- Trying to please people is pointless
- Eat cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, if you want!
- Break the rules sometimes
- Exercise is a must for my mood
- I could nag for my profession
- A good cry does wonders
- Be a good listener
- Love your mother, cause you’ll understand once you have kids!
- Don’t give a flip what people think
- Dance!
- Love isn’t a feeling most of the time, it’s a choice
- Just do it. Don’t wait for the perfect time. Get out of your comfort zone
- Be kind
- Buy the shoes! You’ll regret it if you don’t 😉
- It WILL pass
- Sometimes you gotta get alone and figure it out
- Cherish your relationships. PUT IN EFFORT. It’s not supposed to be one sided
- Enjoy the little moments
- Give
- Slow down. Don’t always be in a rush
- Gossip and you will be gossiped about too
- Go to church
- People will judge you no matter what you do, so do what you want
- I am an A+ procrastinator
- Donuts.
- Late at night is a really good time to talk about really serious stuff…. lol
- The look on someone’s face is not a giveaway of their mood (still working on this one)
- Forgive. and then forgive again! People aren’t perfect.
- Be a cheerleader to the people in your life.
Today I get to hang with some really awesome little ladies and bake cupcakes! Then later this week my friend is coming to visit me and we get to have a night out with my amazing friends!! This is going to be a great year and I’m excited for what’s in store ♥
I’ll leave you with a photo that is classic Mary as a kid 🙂
