Happy New Year, everyone! How was everyone’s NYE? We went to Austin to visit some friends and had to leave early due to a veryyyyyyy cranky teething toddler, so we were on the couch till 10 and then fell asleep. Crazy, I know! Truth is, I am not big on going out NYE. I am not a fan of the crowds and people getting crazy. I love new years because it forces us to look back at the previous year and reflect and also plan ahead. I usually make goals for the new year, and while I am not great about follow through, I still love to make them. I have made some personal goals and also some blogging goals for this next year. I started my blog in April of 2016 and didn’t know what it would look like in 6 months, all I knew is I needed something of my own. I had no plan, no goals, I just did it one Monday morning. If you know me, that’s my personality. I never plan anything out, I just do it. That can be good AND bad, but in this case, I feel like it was good. If I had thought about all that entails with a blog or how people would criticize me for my blog, then I probably wouldn’t have done it. I know a fashion blog may seem silly to some and that’s ok with me! It’s not for everyone, but I absolutely love it and feel like a part of me has awakened. It is a ton of work, but I love every second of it. I have been blown away on my Instagram by all the support and positive feedback I get from my followers. It is amazing to me and has made such an impact. I feel strongly about supporting my peers, and one of my goals for this next year is to do that even more. I have a quote printed and it’s “You will never hurt your own success by supporting others” and it’s so true. Only positive will come from supporting others. When people step out of their comfort zone and do something on their own, it’s a huge step and they need support!! I started this little blog and it’s already grown into something I’m really proud of and I’m so excited to see what 2017 has in store for me. So, THANK YOU for reading and supporting this little space of mine. It means the world to me!
Above are some of my favorite looks from the past year. It’s fun to look back because I feel like my style changes slightly throughout the years. I will try and link what is still available below each photo. If anyone has any feedback for me or anything they would like to see more of, please let me know! I appreciate all and any feedback you have!
XO,
Mary ♥
