DailyLook Box

I recently had the pleasure of trying out DailyLook, which is “the premium personal styling experience that provides on-trend looks tailored to your lifestyle – saving you time and effort. We make shopping simple, by curating looks you love based on your body shape and lifestyle. Our experienced Stylists mix/match our collection to style beautiful outfits for you to try on in the convenience of your own home. You buy what you love and return the rest. Free shipping both ways.
It’s that easy.”

It really was that easy! I signed up on their website, filled out my profile, and within a week my box arrived. They ask all sorts of questions to get to know me and my style, and then you are partnered with a stylist. With the box comes a letter from your stylist telling you how to style each piece in your box, which I loved. She had some great suggestions on how to style all of the pieces.

I’m such a sucker for monthly subscription boxes. I would sign up for a hundred if I could haha! Getting packages is the highlight of my week, and to get a box filled with gorgeous clothing that you can try on at home with no strings attached, SOLD! The main reason I like online shopping, is because I can try on the clothing in my own house, with all of my other things to see how I will really style it. It also saves so much time.

Here is what I got:

This top and jeans were included in the box and I LOVED the jeans. I really liked the side slit detail on the hem. The top I would have never tried on in store, but actually like it on me! The color was right up my alley. I’m all about fall tones right now. The jeans were 200, and more than I typically send, so for my next box I will ask for more affordable denim.

next was this super cute off the shoulder top, with tied sleeve detail. I loved the color of this top so much!! Such a gorgeous deep pink and I loved the tied sleeves. I would definitely wear this with my leather jacket, or a skirt in the spring.

Next was this cute little sweater and it definitely had a Chanel vibe to it. It was actually way cuter on than I thought it would be, but not totally my style. Fit great though and was great quality.

Lastly was a pair of black denim that I love and kept! I have been wanting some non distressed black jeans, and these fit so well. They are high waist and the price range was perfect for me. This black hooded cardigan was also in my box, and if I didn’t already have so many cardigans, this would have been another keeper. I loved how soft and cozy it was!

Overall I loved my experience with DailyLook and look forward to my next box! You really have nothing to lose with trying them out, because you only get charged for what you keep, which is amazing! You can also log into your account and add outfits to your “favorites” folder so that your stylist can really get to know your style. I may or may not be doing that currently 😉 You can head HERE to sign up and use code POWERS10 for 10$ off your first box!

Thanks for reading and let me know if you have any questions about DailyLook

Core Collection Boutique Opening!

Hi friends!! So excited to share a new boutique with you today, Core Collection, and show you 2 pieces they sent me and how I styled them! Core Collection is run by two sisters, Karina and Olivia, after trying their hand at fashion blogging, they decided their passion was starting a boutique. Love when people go for their passions!! Their stuff is so cute, you guys, and their mission is to make women feel beautiful and confident, LOVE! Can’t wait for you to see it all! They have offered you all 10% off with code MISSMARYPOWERS, so don’t forget to use that at checkout 🙂

The first thing I styled was this gorgeous plum sweater. You guys know this is one of my favorite colors to wear in the fall, so this was a no brainer for me. I LOVE the cuffed sleeves and the deep V neck.

I paired it with my white mules, but it would look fab with some great booties. This sweater would also look darling worn over a dress! Pair it with any strappy dress and some booties and you’re set for fall!

Next is the most darling olive suede dress, and I’m in LOVE!!!

This dress is so cute, I can’t stand it. I will definitely be pairing this dress with my over the knee boots next. You could also wear a long sleeved top under it, but I paired it with my faux fur. Olive is such a great color. It’s the perfect fall neutral color.

I am wearing a medium in this dress, and a sm/med in the sweater. The sizing with these 2 items is true to size for me.

Head to their site HERE, and browse all their cute pieces!! Don’t forget to use code MISSMARYPOWERS for 10% off your entire order!! Please let me know if you have any questions about sizing.

Thanks for reading, and have a great weekend!

XO,

Mary ♥

The Ms. Collection – A Monthly Clothing Rental Subscription

I was recently sent a subscription box to review called The Mr. & Ms. Collection. They are a clothing rental company for men and women. They send out a box hand picked by a stylist based on your personal style profile that you fill out. You wear the clothes as much as you want, and if you can’t live without it, you can purchase at a member price. If you are ready for more, send them back in the bag provided, and another box will arrive at your door! The concept is genius. I have always loved Rent The Runway, and this is basically the same, but better, because it’s everyday clothes you can really use and wear. They have a Ms. Play and Ms. Business which is great too. If I had to work a 9-5 job, I would be a HOT MESS trying to pick out clothes everyday! I would do this in a heartbeat. It would take all the guess work out! You can do a combo for Business and Play, which is great too. You can check out the Ms. Collection HERE, and the Mr. Collection HERE.

How many times have you looked in your closet FULL of clothing and thought “I have nothing to wear!” All the time, right?! Well, me too! That’s why this service is great. I get so tired of the same old and love having new pieces. This would actually save me a ton of money from shopping! This would also be a great idea for new mams because your body changes so much after a baby, no one wants to buy all new clothes till you lose the weight. I wish I knew of this after I had Jade!!

A Weekend In Chicago – Where We Stayed, What We Did, and What I Bought

How We got There

This past weekend, my sister in law and I, headed out for a quick weekend trip to Chicago. We decided to do things on the inexpensive side so that we could conserve every penny for shopping! Taking the train to Chicago seemed like the best route due to price and ease of getting into the city and not having to rent a car. It was only 69$ roundtrip for one ticket. That’s not bad! I had no idea what to expect because I have never taken the train, but I gotta say, for a weekend trip that’s semi near by, it’s the way to go. There is pretty much no regulation for the train. You can bring however many bags, food/drink, and seating is open and quite comfortable. Way better than an airplane, in that regard. I didn’t have t stress about my bag being over the weight limit, woohoo!! Especially since I’d be shopping, I knew it would come back even heavier lol.

The train going to Chicago was running very late. That was ok at first, but by 2pm, we just wanted to be there already. They left STL late and that pushed us to the lower end of the totem pole and we had to wait for several trains to pass along the way. We finally made it into Chicago around 4. The train home was the complete opposite. It was on time and even got us home early. I would definitely take the train again. It would also be a great option for little ones traveling, because you wouldn’t have to worry about air pressure for their ears, and they could stand up and roam around, if needed. It was a very laid back experience.
